About Us

We believe every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and healthy home environment!

Our Mission

Our Mission is to create, maintain, and operate a center that shall coordinate a multidisciplinary approach for services for children who are at risk of, or victims of, neglect and abuse in Transylvania County.

Our Vision

A community where every child is safe, nurtured, and thriving.

Our History

The Children’s Center grew out of concern of a group of local community members who felt that abused children should be represented by an organization whose sole function was to advocate for these children. Since 1991, The Children’s Center has been advocating for abused and neglected children.
